HIRING CRITERIA
Our Summer Associates program is the cornerstone for the Firms
hiring. Our goal is to fulfill most of our recruiting needs though
permanent offers to those who successfully complete our summer program.
We also are interested in candidates from judicial clerkships.
In determining whether to make offers to law students and recent
graduates, we give substantial weight to academic achievement and
intellectual ability. We also evaluate each applicant in the light
of his or her undergraduate performance, extracurricular interests,
work experience, and those personal qualities that we believe help
to make a successful lawyer. Faculty and professional recommendations
are considered. A high percentage of the lawyers we hire are former
law review members. We consider law review experience as a positive
factor, but it is not a prerequisite to hiring.
In short, we are seeking motivated individuals who have demonstrated
writing ability, a commitment to excellence and to the highest standards
