Schnader partners Bruce P. Merenstein and Nancy Winkelman presented at the Pennsylvania Bar Institute's CLE program "Advanced Issues in Civil Practice and Procedure" on August 15, 2013 in Philadelphia, PA. The program examined sophisticated issues that may arise during civil trial from issue preservation to waiver arguments, post-trial motions to justiciability doctrines, and discretionary judicial review to non-judicial arbitration. The speakers provided an overview of litigation procedures and appellate strategies and discussed a variety of litigation procedures including when to assert or resist waiver arguments, when to preserve issues that will be raised on appeal, how the role of arbitration may come into play, and how standing and case or controversy requirements may affect the outcome of your case.
