September 12, 2012 – Philadelphia, PA: Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis LLP is pleased to announce that attorney Rachel E. Branson was installed as the 2012-2013 president of the Barristers' Association of Philadelphia. The installation ceremony was at held The Union League of Philadelphia.
Ms. Branson has been involved with the Barristers' Association since graduating from law school and has held various positions on the executive committee. She is honored to serve as president of such a distinguished organization and will "build upon the legacy of leadership in the community through a number of exciting initiatives." said Ms. Branson. As president, Ms. Branson will spearhead the introduction of the Barristers' Leadership Institute, reactivate the Advisory Board, and continue to hold clinics to benefit the community-at-large.
An active member of the legal profession, Ms. Branson is dedicated to increasing diversity in the practice of law. She serves on Schnader's Diversity Committee, is a mentor for the Villanova Law Minority Alumni Association, and is involved with the Philadelphia Diversity Law Group Alumni Association.
Ms. Branson is an associate in the Firm’s Corporate Finance and Intellectual Property Groups and focuses her practice on emerging companies, software licensing issues, and the formation and governance of nonprofit organizations and corporate entities.
