Edward Sholinsky Named to Schnader Partnership
Schnader is pleased to announce that Edward J. Sholinsky has been named a partner of the firm. Ed is a member of the Litigation Services Department and resident in the Philadelphia office.
“Ed has demonstrated exceptional skill and work ethic over the years and is a key member of our litigation department. I am thrilled to announce his promotion,” said David Smith, chairman of the firm.
A successful litigator with experience across multiple industries, Ed’s practice often includes defending financial institutions against allegations of breach of fiduciary duty and fraud. He also represents broadcast stations, publishers, authors and bloggers, drawing on his prior work in the fields of journalism and public relations. In addition, he has an active pro bono practice, representing clients on issues such as free speech, excessive police force, and the right to record police actions in public without fear of arrest.
Ed serves on the board of directors of HIAS Pennsylvania, a nonprofit that provides legal and support services to immigrants, refugees and asylum seekers of all backgrounds. Through his work with HIAS, he created a pro bono practice group at Schnader to help abused and neglected children who were abandoned in this county gain legal status, receive an education and become productive members of society. He also co-chairs HIAS’s strategic planning committee.
Ed earned his J.D. with high honors from Rutgers University School of Law and his A.B. with distinction from the University of Michigan. In 2016, he was named to the Super Lawyers “Rising Stars” list for business litigation.
