Gordon Woodward Honored by National Black Child Development Institute

7/7/2017

For his longstanding service as a board member and volunteer, Gordon S. Woodward, Managing Partner of Schnader’s Washington, D.C. office, was presented the Distinguished Service Award by the National Black Child Development Institute (NBCDI). NBCDI recognized Woodward for his exceptional leadership and commitment of “time, talent, and treasure” to ensure a successful future for all children.

NBCDI is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to improving and advancing the quality of life for Black children and their families through education and advocacy.

Woodward received the NBCDI award at a special fundraising event benefiting NBCDI’s national network of affiliate chapters. “I am honored to receive this recognition,” said Woodward, “but more honored to have been able to serve, to be part of this wonderful organization, and to work with such dynamic and committed individuals for the success and well-being of children.”

Woodward's practice at Schnader concentrates on litigation matters including construction, real estate, product liability, and general commercial disputes. He is a member of Schnader’s Pro Bono Committee and is very active in pro bono efforts focusing on civil rights and access to justice.

Since the founding of Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis LLP in 1935, one of the most distinguishing features of the firm has been our commitment to pro bono and public service.
