Alex Ru is an associate in the firm’s Litigation Services Department. He focuses his practice on insurance defense, premises liability, and product liability law. He has experience in all aspects of litigation, including managing discovery, conducting depositions, drafting and arguing dispositive motions, and conducting investigations and site inspections of accident locations with liability experts. He has also briefed and handled several matters before the First and Second Appellate Divisions of New York, and represented clients at mediations before the American Arbitration Association and National Arbitrations and Mediations.

Previously, Mr. Ru served as a legislative analyst and director of constituent services for New York City Council member John C. Liu of the 20th District, where he researched and drafted legislative memoranda and resolutions on consumer protection and transportation issues.
