Erica Briggs is an associate in our Litigation Services Department. Ms. Briggs practice covers a wide range of matters, including nonprofit law, personal injury defense, asbestos defense, eminent domain, and complex commercial litigation. She has experience drafting pleadings, conducting pre-trial discovery and document production, preparing and participating in mediations, and drafting substantive motions. Her practice also includes counseling and advising in government affairs. Ms. Briggs has also authored client alerts for the firm’s aviation and employment departments.

Ms. Briggs is an active alumni of Stockton University and Rutgers law, serving as a mentor to Stockton students interested in law school, as well as an alumni judge for Rutgers law Hunter Appellate Advocacy course. 

Prior to starting at Schnader, Erica served as Assistant City Attorney in Huntington, West Virginia. Prior to that, she did a judicial clerkship with The Honorable Julio Mendez, Superior Court of New Jersey Atlantic & Cape May Vicinage. Erica is barred in the states of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Washington, D.C. She received her J.D. from Rutgers Law School in 2020 and has a B.A. in Political Science and Government from Stockton University.
