Al Dandridge Named as One of The Legal Intelligencer’s Diverse Attorneys of the Year

PHILADELPHIA – The Legal Intelligencer has named Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis LLP Chief Diversity Officer Albert S. Dandridge, III, as one of its Diverse Attorneys of the Year.

Every two years, The Legal Intelligencer recognizes outstanding minority attorneys from across Pennsylvania. For 2013, the editorial staff has selected 24 individuals in recognition of their outstanding professional achievements.

Profiles and details about each attorney were included in The Legal Intelligencer‘s Diversity supplement, published on April 16. Honorees recieved their awards at a special luncheon in Philadelphia on May 22.

In addition to his work as Schnader’s Chief Diversity Officer, Mr. Dandridge is Vice Chancellor of the Philadelphia Bar Association and chair of the Firm’s Securities practice group. His legal work is concentrated in municipal and corporate finance matters, and he regularly counsels major public companies, broker-dealers and investment advisors on their securities reporting and financing requirements.

Before joining Schnader, Mr. Dandridge served the Securities and Exchange Commission as associate director of small business and international corporate finance in the SEC’s Division of Corporation Finance. Mr. Dandridge is a decorated Vietnam Combat Veteran with the U.S. Marine Corp. and was awarded, among many honors, the Bronze Star with Combat “V” for Valor and the Purple Heart.

Mr. Dandridge accepts his honor honor from The Legal Intelligencer’s Publisher Hal Cohen at a ceremony on May 22.
