Al Dandridge Presented with Hon. William F. Hall Award

Schnader partner and Chief Diversity Officer Albert S. Dandridge, III, will receive the Barristers’ Association of Philadelphia Hon. William F. Hall Award on January 20, 2014 at the Barristers’ Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Breakfast. This honor recognizes an attorney who has made a significant contribution in the areas of social justice, peace, education, civil rights or public health. The recipient is recognized for his/her championship of fairness in the application and interpretation of the law, and defends the legal rights of the most vulnerable populations with skill and diligence. 

Recently, Mr. Dandridge was awarded The Legal Intel­ligencer’s Lifetime Achievement Award and the Philadel­phia Business Journal’s Minority Business Leader Award. Mr. Dandridge was named one of The Legal’s 2013 Diverse Attorneys of the Year. He has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America for corporate law from 2007 to 2014.

Mr. Dandridge is the Chancellor-Elect of the Philadelphia Bar Association. He is also the treasurer and a member of executive committee of the Philadelphia Diversity Law Group, Inc., which is committed to fostering inclusion and participation of a more diverse group of lawyers in the Greater Philadelphia Region.

Mr. Dandridge is chair of the Firm’s Securities Practice Group and Chancellor-Elect of the Philadelphia Bar Association. Before joining Schnader, Mr. Dandridge served the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as associate director of small business and international corporate finance in the SEC’s Division of Corporation Finance. In addition, he served as special counsel in the Division of Corporation Finance. Mr. Dandridge is a decorated Vietnam Combat Veteran with the U.S. Marine Corp. and was awarded, among many honors, the Bronze Star with Combat “V” for Valor and the Purple Heart.
