Amazon Fends Off Covid-19 Claims

Michael J. Wietrzychowski, co-chair of the Labor and Employment Practices Group, was quoted in a recent article for the Society for Human Resource Management’s SHRM Online, “Amazon Fends Off Covid-19 Claims.”

Wietrzychowski commented about the recent decision of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York in Palmer et al v. Amazon.com Inc. The decision granted the defendant’s motion to dismiss, ending the lawsuit challenging the employer’s compliance with state and federal public health guidance and law during the Covid-19 pandemic.
