In Guang Lin-Zheng v. Attorney General, 557 F.3d. 147 (3d Cir. 2009), Schnader served as court-appointed amicus in action for asylum and other relief from removal; court overruled earlier holding that definition of “refugee” in immigration statute extended automatic refugee status to spouses of individuals who were forcibly subjected to coercive birth control measures.
