Barry Alexander Quoted in USA Today

Partner and vice-chair of the Aviation Group Barry S. Alexander was quoted in “I didn’t know that was banned on a plane” published in USA Today on October 23, 2016. The article discusses the alleged inconsistencies between the TSA’s banned substances rules versus an airline’s banned items, as well as alleged discrepancies in how the rules are applied. “The unfortunate truth is that regardless of the steps airlines take to make passengers aware of restrictions, there always will be some passengers who remain unaware,” said Mr. Alexander in disagreement with the article’s premise that airlines do not provide sufficient information as to what items may be transported on a commercial aircraft. “Some of those passengers likely will blame the airlines.”
