Barry Bressler, chair of the Firm’s creditors’ rights real estate practice, was quoted in an article published in the Sunday Business section of The Philadelphia Inquirer on December 14, 2008 titled “Nation’s Bankruptcy Capital Still Growing.” The article examined the reasons Wilmington, Delaware has become a favored jurisdiction for large public companies seeking bankruptcy protection, and questioned whether the environment in Wilmington is too favorable towards big business. Mr. Bressler noted that Wilmington currently has an excess of attorneys who practice bankruptcy law, emphasizing “you can’t swing a dead cat in Wilmington without hitting a bankruptcy lawyer.”
