For the tenth consecutive year, Chambers and Partners USA has ranked Schnader’s Aviation Group among the top six firms in the country for aviation litigation, and also individually ranked partners in the firm’s Pennsylvania, New York and Washington, D.C. offices.
The Chambers Review stated that our Aviation Team is “notable for its capability in representing airlines, aerospace manufacturers, and insurers in a range of contentious issues,” noted our experience in personal injury and wrongful death actions, and stated that the team “has particular expertise in multijurisdictional cases, military air crashes, cargo claims, and civil aviation disasters.” Chambers also recognized Schnader’s Aviation Group for its appellate practice, which includes representing clients in aviation and related insurance matters in state and federal courts nationally.
In addition to the Group’s national ranking, Denny Shupe, Jonathan M. Stern, and Barry S. Alexander again were ranked nationally. Chambers reported that clients recognized Mr. Shupe as “a seasoned aviation litigator” whose “experience encompasses a myriad of commercial and product liability disputes”, with clients recognizing that he “is very succinct and proactive. He’s well regarded in the aviation world.” Chambers noted that a wide-range of airline and insurer clients engage Mr. Stern to handle personal injury and wrongful death cases and praise him for his experience, with one client saying, his “breadth of experience in aviation matters enables him to take on litigation of any kind,” and noted that insurer and airline clients routinely engage Mr. Alexander to handle accident litigation and punitive damages disputes, recognizing his “excellent service in a challenging and contentious lawsuit.”
