Appellate chair Carl Solano and Litigation Department vice chair Bruce Merenstein are noted for their role as Bill Cosby’s appellate attorneys in The Legal Intelligencer article “Cosby Attorneys Seek to Stop Preliminary Hearing.” Mr. Solano and Mr. Merenstein filed an emergency petition for a writ of prohibition on February 25, 2016, in response to the scheduling of a preliminary hearing on March 8.
