David Smith Honored by Jewish Learning Venture

Firm Chairman David Smith will be honored by the Jewish Learning Venture for his leadership and guidance during a celebratory reception on April 30 at the Moore College of Art and Design in Philadelphia. Mr. Smith is being recognized for overseeing the merger of Jewish Outreach Partnership and Auerbach Central Agency for Jewish Education that resulted in the formation of Jewish Learning Venture.

“Jewish Learning Venture is fortunate to have a strong, thoughtful leader like David Smith, who, at pivotal moments in our agency’s history, has had the wisdom and the skill to guide us from strength to strength,” said Rabbi Philip Warmflash, CEO of Jewish Learning Venture.

“I am honored to be recognized by the Jewish Learning Venture, whose innovative programs have strengthened the institutions and families of the Greater Philadelphia community,” said Mr. Smith.

A past president of the Auerbach Central Agency for Jewish Education, Mr. Smith has been an active leader in the Jewish community in Philadelphia for many years. He currently serves as Vice President of the Philadelphia/South Jersey Chapter of the American Jewish Committee. Past positions include President of the Community Hebrew Schools of Philadelphia/Jewish Outreach Partnership, President of the Jewish Publication Society, Vice President of the Perelman-Schechter Jewish Day School, and a member of the Board of Trustees for the Jewish Federation.
