David Smith Named Board President of AJC Philadelphia/Southern New Jersey
On June 18, 2018 by Schnader in NewsDavid Smith, Chairman of Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis LLP, has been named President of the Regional Board for the Philadelphia/Southern New Jersey Region of AJC (American Jewish Committee). Smith has served as a Vice President and Board Member since 2013. He is a past participant in the prestigious AJC National Adenauer Mission to Germany.
AJC enhances the well-being of the Jewish people and Israel and advances human rights and democratic values in the United States and around the world.

Smith has been an active leader in the Jewish community in Philadelphia for many years. He served as a past president of the Auerbach Central Agency for Jewish Education and the Jewish Learning Venture. Other past positions include President of the Community Hebrew Schools of Philadelphia/Jewish Outreach Partnership, President of the Jewish Publication Society, Vice President of the Perelman-Schechter Jewish Day School, and a member of the Board of Trustees for the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia.
