Dennis Suplee Honored with 2016 Lifetime Achievement Award

Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis LLP is pleased to congratulate Dennis Suplee on being awarded a “Lifetime Achievement Award” by The Legal Intelligencer.

Mr. Suplee is among 25 Pennsylvania lawyers who have been recognized for their impressive work in the legal profession. According to The Legal Intelligencer, “Our focus in selecting this group of individuals was to represent the figures who have helped to shape the law in Pennsylvania, whether through their work on the bench, assisting those in need of legal services, building a firm or any other means. We sought to honor attorneys who have had a distinct impact on the legal profession in the state.”

Mr. Suplee, who served as chairman of the firm from 1992 to 1998, has handled a wide range of civil litigation. He is also an American Arbitration Association-trained mediator who regularly handles mediations and arbitrations. He has tried a number of notable cases, including antitrust cases, insurance coverage actions, intellectual property and legal malpractice claims.
Mr. Suplee is a Fellow and Past President of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, and a Fellow and Former Regent of the American College of Trial Lawyers.

He has been named “Philadelphia Lawyer of the Year for Litigation Intellectual Property” by The Best Lawyers in America in 2014, and as “Philadelphia Lawyer of the Year for Bet-the-Company Litigation” in 2009. He is also listed in Chambers’ America’s Leading Business Lawyers for Commercial Litigation (Band 1).

Mr. Suplee served on the board of trustees of St. Joseph’s University from 2004-2012, and as a member of the Secretary of the Navy’s Advisory Board on Education and Training.
