Denny Shupe has been appointed to the Board of Managers for The University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School Law Alumni Society (LAS). Outstanding alumni are nominated to serve a three-year term on the LAS Board of Managers.
The Law Alumni Society seeks to further the interests of the Law School through, among other things, service, engagement, and outreach. The LAS supports a number of events at the Law School, including the annual Law Alumni Society Annual Awards (presented to outstanding Penn Law alumni and select members of the Penn Law community for their service to their profession, service to the Law School, for their sustained commitment to pro bono and/or public service throughout a private sector career, and for their significant professional achievements), the annual Equal Justice Foundation Auction in February, and a variety of student/alumni networking events throughout the year.
The Board of Managers of the LAS also maintains strong connections with the Law School through business meetings with the Dean on Student Life and Alumni Engagement and with current law students. A 1989 graduate of the law school, Denny also is serving at the law school as the first President of the Penn Law Veterans Alumni Association (PLVAA).
