Kalikman has been named Managing Partner of the Firm’s San Francisco office. He will succeed Leo J. Murphy, who has successfully led the office for the past 9 years.
“We could not be more pleased that George has accepted the role of Managing Partner,” said David Smith, Chairman of Schnader. “I would like to thank Leo for his leadership, insight and simple hard work during his time as Managing Partner. Under his leadership, the San Francisco office experienced strategic growth both in professional personnel and in the capacity to service our clients’ varied needs and he leaves the San Francisco office stronger as a result of his efforts.”
Mr. Kalikman intends to work with his colleagues in the San Francisco office to expand certain of the office’s existing practice areas, including financial restructuring and bankruptcy, intellectual property litigation, and labor and employment. Their consistent commitment to providing quality service to our clients has been impressive and inspiring.”
Mr. Kalikman represents money center banks, investment banks, hedge funds, private equity and venture capital investors, real estate investors, and other secured and unsecured creditors in financial restructuring, bankruptcy, workouts, secured creditor enforcement, commercial financing, loan documentation, secured transactions, and other transactional and litigation matters. In addition to his representation of clients in out-of-court workouts and restructurings, Mr. Kalikman has represented creditors, creditors’ committees, debtors, and prospective asset purchasers in all aspects of chapter 11 bankruptcy cases. In 2010, he was listed in Best Lawyers in America in the area of bankruptcy and creditor-debtor rights law, and he has been recognized every year as a “Northern California Super Lawyer” by the publishers of Law & Politics for creditors’ rights and bankruptcy.
