The Honorable Timothy K. Lewis was profiled in the article “History Contradicts Party-line Animosity,” published in The Philadelphia Inquirer on June 10, 2016. The article discusses Judge Merrick Garland’s stalled Supreme Court nomination in comparison to that of Judge Lewis. Lewis was nominated by George H.W. Bush to serve on the Third Circuit Court of Appeals and the Democratic-controlled Senate unanimously confirmed him in 1992, a presidential election year.
