Jay Evans Appointed as Board President for Arcade Comedy Theater

On July 3, 2018 by Schnader in News

Jay Evans, an associate at Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis LLP, has been appointed as Board President for Arcade Comedy Theater, Pittsburgh’s only non-profit theater entirely focused on the comedic arts. He has been active with Arcade since 2014 and a member of the Board of Directors since mid-2015, most recently serving as Arcade’s Vice President.

Arcade’s formation as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization in February 2013 made it one of only a handful of non-profit comedy (or improv) theaters nationwide. Its mission to “elevate and advance the art of comedy,” plus a prime location in the heart of Pittsburgh’s Cultural District, has allowed thousands of artists, students, and audience members to identify comedy as a compelling artistic outlet.

At Schnader, Evans represents clients on complex litigation and appellate issues including product liability, insurance, contracts, real estate, trade secrets and restrictive covenants, antitrust and trade regulation, and other business disputes. In addition to his role with Arcade Comedy Theater, Jay works with the Pennsylvania Innocence Project pro bono, and serves on its Advocates for Innocence board committee.
