Jonathan W. Hugg was appointed by the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania to serve as a Hearing Committee Member in the District I disciplinary district. It is a significant honor to receive this volunteer appointment and to be entrusted with upholding the Rules of Professional Conduct for the legal profession in Pennsylvania.
Hugg previously served as a Hearing Committee Member from 2005 to 2011. In resuming this important role, he will be responsible for: reviewing the recommended disposition of complaints as offered by the Office of Disciplinary Counsel; conducting disciplinary and reinstatement hearings, either as part of a three-member panel or as a single designated member; and preparing written reports and recommendations to the Board following disciplinary and reinstatement proceedings.
Hugg is co-chair of Schnader’s Financial Services Litigation Group. His practice concentrates on commercial and appellate litigation, with an emphasis on financial institution, real estate, regulatory enforcement, and municipal matters.
