Joseph Lundy and Noel Fleming Join Schnader

PHILADELPHIA – Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis LLP is pleased to announce that attorneys Joseph E. Lundy and Noel A. Fleming have joined the firm’s Philadelphia office. The duo, formerly of boutique firm Lundy Fleming LLP, bring a wealth of experience serving their clients’ corporate, transactional and tax needs.

Mr. Lundy possesses a national reputation as a tax and business attorney. He has direct hands-on experience in advising healthcare systems, universities, colleges, foundations and other nationally prominent charities throughout the country regarding IRS audits, mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings, tax-exempt financing, unrelated business income, and physician practice arrangements as well as fundraising and general compliance matters. Prior to founding Lundy Fleming LLP, Mr. Lundy was a principal in the Washington, D.C., New York, and Philadelphia offices of the international accounting and consulting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. In that role, he was responsible for providing innovative and proactive solutions regarding tax laws and other regulatory matters applicable to tax-exempt organizations. Mr. Lundy is and has been for over 35 years an Adjunct Professor of Law at Temple University’s Beasley School of Law where he teaches in the Masters of Taxation program.  

Mr. Fleming has extensive experience representing nonprofit, tax-exempt organizations especially in the areas of corporate law and governance, federal, state and local tax matters, fiduciary duties, charitable fund raising and related matters. He regularly counsels clients regarding corporate restructurings, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, unrelated business income tax issues and compensation matters.  Mr. Fleming is the Chair of the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Charitable Organizations Committee and serves on the Board of Directors of several local nonprofit, charitable organizations. Prior to co-founding Lundy Fleming LLP, Mr. Fleming was a lawyer at a large Philadelphia-based law firm where he practiced in the Tax Department and the Public Finance Department.
