Judge Lewis Joins Edward Coke Appellate Inn of Court
On September 15, 2006 by Schnader in NewsJudge Timothy Lewis has been elected to membership in the Edward Coke Appellate Inn of Court. The Inn, which includes lawyers with varying levels of appellate experience as well as law students, meets six times a year at the historic Tayloe House in Washington, D.C. for dinner and a program that focuses on different aspects of appellate courts or appellate litigation. The Edward Coke Appellate Inn of Court is the first Inn of Court specializing in appellate practice, and is named for Lord Coke (pronounced “cook”), a champion of the common law who greatly influenced the course of American law.
