On February 25, 2013 by Schnader in Litigation

Schnader attorney and former federal judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit Timothy K. Lewis was quoted extensively in the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review’s article “Simmons Blazed Trail to Bench, Equality” regarding his predecessor on the bench, Judge Paul Simmons. The article details Judge Simmons’ and the oral history presentation dedicated to his life. The oral history is part of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania’s annual program spotlighting the work of retired judges.

Judge Lewis described Judge Simmons as a trailblazer who succeeded through “sheer talent, hard work and determination.” Judge Lewis, who as an assistant U.S. Attorney tried cases before him, said Judge Simmons brought balance to the judicial ranks.
