On February 27, 2014 by Schnader in News

In a February 14, 2014 article in Lawyers Journal, the Journal of the Allegheny County Bar Association (ACBA), titled “ACBA supports creation of Pennsylvania Access to Justice Commission,” Schnader partner and co-chair of the ACBA’s Public Service Committee Keith E. Whitson noted the organization’s support of the commission and its goal of improving the delivery of legal services to indigent residents.

Among his comments Mr. Whitson said, “An Access to Justice Commission would bring together stakeholders from across the state to explore strategies for improving indigents’ access to justice, including ways to secure additional funding for pro bono legal services.”

Mr. Whitson also noted that similar commissions have already been established in 31 states and the District of Columbia, producing positive results on funding and collaboration.
