Keith Whitson Quoted in Charitable Work Refugee Article

On November 10, 2012 by Schnader in Alternative Dispute Resolution

The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review’s article entitled, “Pittsburgh Jewish aid group assists refugees of all denominations” quotes volunteer and Schnader attorney, Keith E. Whitson. The article details the charitable work of the Pittsburgh’s Jewish Family & Children’s Services, which among the many services it provides, assists refugees seeking asylum in the United States.

As a volunteer, this year Mr. Whitson offered asylum seekers from Africa, the Middle East and Central America legal assistance. He notes that often times these refugees face significant dangers in their own country and often go through great hardship to make it to the U.S.

Formed after the merger of several charities, Jewish Family & Children’s Services celebrates its 75th anniversary this year. In addition to its refugee work, the charity offers career counseling, critical needs, elder and senior care, food pantry and guardianship services.
