Kevin Blanton and Ron Cusano Earn LEED Accreditation

Schnader is pleased to announce that attorneys Kevin S. Blanton and Ronald S. Cusano recently have earned the LEED Green Associate credential from the U.S. Green Building Council. A LEED professional credential signifies the designee as a leader in the field and an active participant in the green building movement, contributing expertise to the design, construction, operations and maintenance of buildings and neighborhoods that save energy, use fewer resources, reduce pollution, and promote healthier environments.

Mr. Blanton concentrates his practice on real estate matters, with an emphasis on the representation of institutional and private interests in complex real estate acquisitions, development, leasing and financing transactions. He also regularly assists clients in all phases of development and construction projects from acquisition, determination of project delivery methods, drafting and negotiating contracts with architects, contractors and other trades or disciplines, to final completion of the project. 

Mr. Cusano counsels real estate developers and other clients concerning environmental and land use approvals required for development including wetlands permits, storm water management and erosion and sedimentation control plans. Mr. Cusano also assists clients in obtaining no further action letters or releases from liability from governmental authorities in connection with environmental remediation. Mr. Cusano is a member of the Green Building Alliance of Western Pennsylvania (GBA), the Western Pennsylvania Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council. Previously Mr. Cusano served as a member GBA’s Executive Committee and was chair of its Governance Committee.
