Mergers & Acquisitions practice, which can require working under the gun late nights and weekends, with demanding buyers and sellers, aggressive negotiations and often with the added frustration of satisfying financial participants, has long been a male-dominated area of the law. This article examines the difficulties faced by women who worked their way up in M&A and are now leading major transactions and heading up practice groups in the M&A arena.
