The San Francisco Business Times wrote “‘It now seems unlikely that a political climate more favorable to estate tax repeal will exist in the foreseeable future,’ the law firm Schnader said in a note to clients Tuesday. ‘High net worth individuals should continue to plan for the estate tax and everyone should be prepared for the possibility of a future Congress pushing to cut back the expanded exemption amounts.’ Schnader . . . also predicted that some business owners will reassess the entity structure of their companies to take advantage of the newly reduced corporate tax rate.”
