FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Philadelphia, PA (April 19, 2005) – In recognition of more than a half-century of significant contributions to the legal profession, the Pennsylvania Bar Association will this week present Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis LLP counsel and former federal appellate Judge Arlin M. Adams with the association’s President’s Award.

More than 200 leading Philadelphians – including politicians; religious leaders; law professors; and federal, state and city judges – are expected to attend the award presentation this Wednesday, April 20, at 4:30 p.m. at Schnader’s offices at 1600 Market Street.

Both the Honorable Anthony J. Scirica, chief judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and the Honorable Edward R. Becker, senior judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, will offer their thoughts on Judge Adams’ impressive career both as a jurist and as a lawyer.

Myles Tannenbaum, honorary trustee of the University of Pennsylvania School of Law, will comment on the Arlin M. Adams Professorship of Constitutional Law, which was established in late 2004 at Penn law school.

Pennsylvania Bar Association President Michael H. Reed said Judge Adams was selected to receive the President’s Award “for more than 60 years of outstanding leadership and service as a lawyer.”
