Robert Williams Appointed Vice Chair of DRI’s Aerospace Law Committee

November 10, 2011 – Pittsburgh, PA: Robert J. Williams of Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis LLP was recently appointed Vice Chair of the Aerospace Law Committee, a committee of the Defense Research Institute (DRI), the Voice of the Defense Bar. 

The committee was founded by DRI for professionals who work in the field of aviation law and includes attorneys defending the interests of airlines, aircraft product manufacturers and suppliers, maintenance organizations, aviation brokers, insurers/reinsurers, publishers of aeronautical data and training facilities, on a national and international scale. It also includes insurers, consultants and other experts in the industry.

Mr. Williams is a partner at Schnader and his practice includes complex aviation, commercial, employment and bankruptcy litigation matters on behalf of individuals and corporations. He has tried many cases to verdict before judges and juries in both state and federal courts, and has represented clients in both private and court-annexed arbitration proceedings. He also counsels companies and small businesses on litigation avoidance strategies and risk management. An active pilot and aircraft owner, Mr. Williams is a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association and the Aviation Council of Pennsylvania, where he serves on its Membership Committee. He is also a Community Representative and volunteer pilot for Angel Flight Mid Atlantic, and a volunteer pilot for Veterans Airlift Command and Pilots-N-Paws.
