Pittsburgh attorney Robert J. Williams, a partner at Schnader, was featured in the latest issue of the Allegheny County Bar Association‘s Lawyers Journal. The article congratulates Mr. Williams on his receipt of the Earl G. Harrison Community Service Award, an annual recognition bestowed by Schnader to an attorney or staff member who exhibits an outstanding record of service to his/her community over an extended period of time and inspires others to do so as well. The award was named for one of the firm’s original partners who exemplified these same values. The 2015 award recognized Mr. Williams’ dedication to applying his passion for flying in an effort to answer a higher call.
The article discusses the various programs to which Mr. William’s devotes his pilot skills including Pilots N Paws, which helps transport dogs and cats from at-risk situations to loving homes, and Veterans Airlift Command, which provides free air transportation to veterans seeking medical attention. In the article, he acknowledges his passion for flight at an early age and the influence of family members and teachers who instilled a need to give back.
