Roman Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh Asking Supreme Court to Hear Case

On June 29, 2015 by Schnader in Appellate

Schnader partner Keith Whitson is quoted in “Roman Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh asking Supreme Court to hear case,” published in the May 29 edition of The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. Two Western Pennsylvania Catholic dioceses, challenging the Affordable Care Act, have petitioned the United States Supreme Court to hear their objections to certain provisions in the federal health care law pertaining to coverage of birth control. Mr. Whitson discusses what the Supreme Court typically looks for in selecting cases, and what kind of case the court may choose to hear on this issue.
