Ronald Cusano Recipient of 2015 Energy Leadership Award

Each year, the Pittsburgh Business Times recognizes individuals and organizations for their efforts at advancing energy business interests in western Pennsylvania. Winners will be recognized at a ceremony on May 14. View the slide show of winners here.
Mr. Cusano works with industry trade associations to influence federal and state energy regulations and assists energy clients with environmental regulatory compliance and litigation matters. He serves as Schnader’s representative to the Pennsylvania Independent Oil & Gas Association (PIOGA) and is a member of the Association’s Environmental Committee and Chair of the committee’s Air Quality Subcommittee. His legal practice includes representing energy, mining, industrial, manufacturing, and oil and gas trade association clients in matters involving federal, state and local environmental protection and energy laws including the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act and the Pennsylvania Oil and Gas Act (Act 13). He has litigated cases in state and federal courts, and has defended clients in a variety of enforcement actions brought by governmental agencies. Mr. Cusano also plans and directs environmental due diligence in connection with transactions involving the sale or transfer of industrial facilities and properties, and counsels clients in navigating requirements stemming from energy and environmental protection laws.
