Samuel W. Silver, a partner in the firm’s Litigation Department, has been elected president of the board of directors of the Pennsylvania Innocence Project. The non-profit organization works to exonerate those convicted of crimes they did not commit and to prevent innocent people from being convicted.

Silver, a Fellow of both the American College of Trial Lawyers and the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, has throughout his career committed himself to handling high profile and challenging pro bono matters, including major homicide cases and death penalty litigation. Among his many accomplishments, he led a team that was responsible for the exoneration by a jury of a Pennsylvania inmate who had spent 25 years in prison for a crime that he did not commit.
