Schnader Achieves “Mansfield Certification Plus” for Mansfield Rule 3.0 Diversity Initiative
On September 16, 2020 by Schnader in DiversitySchnader Harrison Segal & Lewis LLP is proud of its achievement of “Mansfield Certification Plus” after successfully completing Diversity Lab’s rigorous year-long Mansfield Rule 3.0 program. Participation in Mansfield programs has helped the Firm convert its longstanding commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion to additional concrete goals and quantifiable achievements, furthering the participation of women, attorneys of color, LGBTQ+ attorneys, and attorneys with disabilities in recruitment, governance roles, equity partner promotions, and inclusion in formal pitches to clients.
“Schnader is proud to have achieved Mansfield Rule 3.0 Certification Plus this year, as we were proud to have achieved Mansfield Rule 2.0 Certification Plus last year,” said Albert S. Dandridge, III, Schnader’s Chief Diversity Officer.
The Mansfield Rule, named after Arabella Mansfield, the first woman admitted to the practice of law in the United States, is a diversity program modeled after the NFL’s Rooney Rule, which boosts diversity in NFL leadership positions.
In addition to meeting or exceeding the requirements for Mansfield 3.0 certification, Schnader also achieved Mansfield Certification Plus status by successfully increasing its diverse lawyer representation in a notable number of leadership roles, by at least 30 percent.
“Schnader remains committed to strengthening these important initiatives in order to achieve a more diverse, equitable and inclusive environment,” said David Smith, Chairman of the Firm.
