Schnader Achieves Victory for the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission in Third Circuit Court of Appeals

On September 20, 2011 by Schnader in Appellate

Schnader achieved a successful result for the Firm’s client, the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, in the Third Circuit Court of Appeals in an employment discrimination appeal. The Court affirmed the District Court’s grant of summary judgment motion in favor the Commission, finding that “[t]here is simply too little support for a causal chain between [the employee’s] alleged protected activities and his termination for a reasonable jury to be able to infer that his termination was a retaliatory act caused by his protected activities.” Litigation Services Department co-chair Nancy Winkelman handled the appeal on behalf of the Commission in the Third Circuit.
