FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

January 9, 2006 – Philadelphia, PA – Schnader attorney and former federal appeals court judge Timothy K. Lewis will appear before the Senate Judiciary Committee this week to testify regarding the nomination of Judge Samuel A. Alito Jr. to the Supreme Court.

Judge Lewis has a unique perspective on the Supreme Court nominee, having shared the bench with him for seven years. Judge Lewis’ opinion and perspective was sought out by the media after Judge Alito was nominated by President George W. Bush in October 2005. In those press accounts, Judge Lewis most often noted that while he had ideological differences with Judge Alito, “there is nobody that I believe would give my case a more fair and balanced treatment. He has no agenda. He’s open-minded, he’s fair and he’s balanced.” For more detail on Judge Lewis’ earlier public comments regarding Judge Alito, please visit the “News” page at www.schnader.com.
