Schnader Partner Appointed to Pennsylvania Superior CourtOn July 5, 2016 by Schnader in Appellate
Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis LLP is proud to announce that Carl Solano, chair of the firm’s Appellate Practice and Communications and Media Practice groups, will serve on the Pennsylvania Superior Court.
Solano is one of six appellate judges nominated by Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf on June 13, 2016 and confirmed by the Pennsylvania Senate on June 27, 2016.

Solano, who joins the bench with Schnader alum Judith Olson, is a seasoned appellate attorney, having practiced in state and federal trial and appellate courts for more than three decades. He frequently handles cases dealing with issues of state and federal constitutional law, public education, and tort and business matters.
“My years at Schnader have been rewarding,” Solano said, “and I will miss working with my Schnader colleagues. My appointment to the Superior Court is a great honor, and I look forward to this new opportunity for public service in the Commonwealth,” Solano received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Scranton in 1973 and a law degree from Villanova University School of Law in 1976. He served as a law clerk for the Hon. Alfred L. Luongo, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania in the 1970s. He is an elected member of the American Law Institute and a fellow of the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers.
