On January 22, 2008, Firm Chairman Ralph Wellington, panel member of Settlement Music School’s “Settlement 100” selection committee, attended the Centennial Year Launch Event hosted by the school, the largest and one of the oldest community schools for the arts in the United States. At the event, actor Kevin Bacon and his brother, film score composer and musician Michael Bacon, (both previous “Settlement 100” honorees) announced the final 40 of the “Settlement 100,” a group of 100 eclectic, diverse and unexpected individuals whose experiences at Settlement Music School helped shape their lives.
Schnader is also a sponsor for Settlement’s Centennial Gala, which will be held on May 3, 2008 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. All of the money raised from the Gala will go to support Settlement Music School. The largest community school of the arts in the United States, Settlement provides students at six locations with high quality instruction and activity in music, dance and the related arts, regardless of age, ability, race or financial circumstances. Settlement awards close to $2 million in financial aid each year and is the largest employer of musicians in the Philadelphia region.
