Schnader Welcomes Partner Brad Jacobs to Real Estate Practice Group

His practice focuses on real estate law, managing transactions involving the purchase and sale of residential and commercial real estate, as well as lending and other secured financing transactions.

Blanton, Chair of Schnader’s Real Estate Practice Group. “He brings substantial experience in representing multiple facets of the commercial and residential real estate market and will also create a high level of synergy with our existing wealth management practice. Brad is a welcome addition to our thriving real estate group.”
Jacobs has extensive experience with 1031 exchange transactions as well as leasing and subleasing of commercial office space. He has served as counsel to cooperative corporations and condominiums throughout New York City, including representing sponsors and holders of unsold shares. In addition, in tandem with Schnader’s trust and estate department, Jacobs will continue his practice in estate sales while advising clients on tax and estate planning techniques in connection with acquisitions and sales.
He is a certified continuing education instructor for real estate brokers and is regularly invited to speak at title insurance companies and brokerage firms to discuss a wide range of real estate topics.
Jacobs is a graduate of Brooklyn Law School and George Washington University.
