Schnader Welcomes Partner Jonathan Hugg to Litigation Services Department

Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis LLP is pleased to welcome Jonathan W. Hugg as a partner in the Litigation Services Department, resident in the firm’s Philadelphia office. Hugg’s regional and national practice concentrates on business litigation and counseling, with an emphasis on financial institution, real estate, regulatory enforcement, and municipal matters.

“Jonathan is an accomplished lawyer and brings a great deal of knowledge and experience to Schnader’s litigation team,” said Managing Partner Nicholas J. LePore, III. “His work for a wide range of clients on financial services, real estate, and bankruptcy litigation, and internal investigations will add depth to our talented practice groups in these and other areas.”

A litigator with more than 20 years of experience, Hugg represents businesses, individuals, and municipalities in disputes relating to real estate, unfair competition and consumer protection, and finance. Hugg regularly litigates matters of critical importance to financial institutions and lenders, including claims involving lender liability, fiduciary matters, loan participation agreements, privacy and fraudulent transfers, as well as claims under Dodd-Frank, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and the Uniform Commercial Code. He also handles adversary bankruptcy matters and commercial loan workouts. In addition, Hugg represents companies and their directors, officers, and employees in pre-indictment and ethics investigations by federal and state authorities.

Prior to joining Schnader, Hugg was a member at Clark Hill PLC. He previously served as a prosecutor in the Appeals Unit of the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office.

Hugg received his J.D. from Boston College Law School, and a B.A., with Honors, from Swarthmore College.
