Schnader’s Aviation Group Ranked in Chambers USA and The Legal 500 USA

Chambers USA 2013 and The Legal 500 USA have ranked both the Schnader Aviation Group and senior attorneys within the Group as among the best in the U.S.

Chambers USA ranked Schnader among the top firms nationwide for its aviation practice stating, “This firm has recognized capabilities in product liability and accident disputes pertaining to the aviation industry. It acts for an array of airlines and manufacturers.” Chambers USA sources reported, “They get good results, communicate well with clients, and give good value.” Individually, Chambers USA recognized the practice group’s co-chair Jonathan M. Stern for aviation litigation describing him as a “very skilled lawyer” who is “easy to deal with.” Chambers USA also noted Denny Shupe, reporting that he is praised as an aggressive and effective trial lawyer, with notable experience relating to air accidents and product liability matters, and “excellent at protecting the interests of the client.”

The Legal 500 ranked Schnader among the top firms in Product Liability and Mass Tort Defense: Aerospace/Aviation. Recognizing specific attorneys in the practice, The Legal 500 editors noted “Denny Shupe is ‘very good’ for complex litigation involving the lease or purchase of aircraft, fatal accidents and, particularly, disputes relating to avionics. Philadelphia-based Ralph G. Wellington is an experienced appellate lawyer and has represented aviation insurance companies, corporate aircraft owners and engine manufacturers in a range of disputes.” The Legal 500 also noted Mr. Stern and Jerry L. Tanenbaum for their work with multiple clients.
