Schnader’s M&A Practice Recognized by The Legal 500

The Legal 500 US’ 2016 edition has named Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis LLP’s Mergers & Acquisitions practice as one of the best for middle-market transactions.

The annual publication applauds the group’s industry expertise in the insurance brokerage, environmental services and energy, technology and retail and consumer goods markets. Schnader also has been recognized for representing foreign investments into the US. The team recently represented a European company in the acquisition of $120 million of food products business lines in the US and also represents a European railway with operations in the US in a reorganization transaction valued at $100 million.

Schnader’s M&A group also has been particularly active in domestic energy and technology transactions. The team recently represented a US company in its acquisition of the stock of a solar water heater manufacturer, and also represented a solar energy company in connection with its sale of photovoltaic projects to a California-based energy company.

The Schnader M&A Group is led by co-chairs Megan Harmon and Sarah Hewitt. “We are so proud of the work we’re doing for our clients,” Ms. Hewitt said. “We expect continuing growth in M&A activity over the next several years,” Ms. Harmon added.

Both Ms. Harmon and Ms. Hewitt were recognized by The Legal 500.
