Paul Titus, counsel resident in the Firm’s Pittsburgh office, was quoted in an article titled “Family Division Bids Adieu to Judge Kaplan,” published in the December 19 Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Judge Lawrence W. Kaplan is retiring from the Family Division of Allegheny County Common Pleas Court after 30 years of service. The 80-year-old judge has reached the state’s mandatory retirement age. Judge Kaplan will move into private practice as a mediator and mentor. Mr. Titus, a longtime friend of Judge Kaplan’s who practiced with him before he moved to the bench said, “He’s one of those people who will work as long as he can work.”
