Schnader’s Ralph Wellington Interviewed by KYW 1060 Radio Regarding the Recent Barnes Museum Decision

On October 6, 2011 by Schnader in Appellate

Schnader’s Ralph Wellington was interviewed for “Montco Judge Refuses to Revisit Barnes Museum’s Move to Philadelphia,” which was broadcast on KYW 1060 Radio and was published on on October 6, 2011.

The story detailed a judge’s decision to refuse to reopen the case involving the decision by the world renowned Barnes Foundation to move its multimillion dollar art collection from Lower Merion, Pennsylvania to downtown Philadelphia. Mr. Wellington has represented the Barnes Foundation throughout years of legal proceedings related to the move.

“On balance – and I would say not surprisingly – the court carefully reviewed both the legal issues and the factual assertions and concluded we’ve been through this all before,” said Mr. Wellington. “Enough already.”

The new Barnes Museum along the Ben Franklin Parkway is expected to open in May 2012.
