Schnader’s Schaerf Presented with All Star Award from Altec Industries, Inc.

On Saturday, March 24, 2012, Carl J. Schaerf and Saul Wilensky were presented with the All Star award from Firm client Altec Industries, Inc. for their successful outcome in Loeffler v. Global Rentals. The All Star award is presented annually to legal services providers in recognition of excellent legal representation and outstanding results. Altec Industries, Inc. is a leading provider of products and services to the electric utility, telecommunications and contractor markets in over 100 countries throughout the world.

Mr. Schaerf specializes in product liability, antitrust, Constitutional law and commercial litigation, including defense of allegations of professional malpractice. He chairs Schnader’s Antitrust and Trade Regulation Practice Group, which provides antitrust litigation and consulting services to a variety of manufacturing and retail clients. He has extensive litigation experience at both the trial and the appellate levels, including several prominent verdicts and published appellate decisions. He also has litigated numerous environmental disputes in state and federal court. Mr. Schaerf also consults and lectures nationally on ERISA and non-ERISA health, life, accident and disability matters.

Mr. Wilensky specializes in the defense of product liability lawsuits relating to design, manufacture and repair of products and services. He has been involved in several leading New York appellate decisions concerning swimming pools, punch presses, commercial food preparation equipment, FELA, automobiles, electrical equipment, printing equipment, commercial and household laundry equipment, aviation, ship design, waste disposal equipment, consumer appliances, asbestos, hazardous materials, toxic torts, and industrial hygiene. Mr. Wilensky regularly tries product liability and other complex matters throughout New York’s state and federal courts.
