June 5, 2008 – Philadelphia, PA: Dennis R. Suplee, a partner with Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis LLP, has been elected to a second four-year term to the Saint Joseph’s University Board of Trustees.

Saint Joseph’s University is a Catholic and Jesuit institution founded in 1851. Since its first days, the University has distinguished itself with a strong liberal arts core curriculum, fostering rigorous and open-minded inquiry, maintaining high academic standards, and attending to the development of the whole person. With more than 4,200 full-time undergraduates and 3,100 graduate, part-time and doctoral candidates, the University seeks to challenge each of its students to exceed their highest ambitions, foster the mature development of values and deepen a desire to help shape the world. The Jesuit tradition of cura personalis – care of the person – is reflected in the University’s rigorous academic experience, its energetic, compassionate and spiritual campus, and its pervasive focus on the common good.

Mr. Suplee – a 1964 graduate of Saint Joseph’s University – served as Chairman of Schnader from 1992 to 1998, and has handled a wide range of civil litigation, including: mass tort cases, complex antitrust litigation, CERLA contribution cases, patent infringement disputes, and product liability cases. Active within the professional community, he is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, served as a Regent of the College from 2001 to 2005, and now serves as a member of the College’s Foundation Board of Directors. He also is a Fellow and President-Elect of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers. His leadership in the profession has been recognized by many different organizations, and he is routinely listed in The Best Lawyers in America (for Business Litigation), Chambers’ America’s Leading Business Lawyers (for Commercial Litigation), The International Who’s Who of Commercial Litigators, and Who’s Who Legal: USA-Commercial Litigation. He is also a leader in the regional community; in addition to serving on the Board of Saint Joseph’s University, he serves on the Board of Governors of Mercy Catholic Medical Center, and on the Board of Trustees, Supreme Court Historical Society.
